Welcome to my Writing Fellow page!

I was a Writing Fellow for Mercer University's new Writers' Hub. Located in Ryals 205 on the Macon campus, the Hub aims to provide writing help to students. Writing Fellows are students who have experience as writing preceptors in the GBK or INT program and are thus prepared to guide you.

The Writers' Hub offers drop-in tutorials in which students can come to the Hub during the day and find a Fellow who can work one-on-one with them to answer questions, provide feedback, and explain writing concepts.

Students who visit the Hub for writing help should bring a copy of the assignment, any pre-writing and/or drafts, and copies of the primary and/or secondary sources being used.

When Fellows aren't working with students, they revise writing instruction material for Mercer University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Learn more on the Writers' Hub website.

The Mercer CLAS has a set of Writing Core Concepts to teach writing skills in writing instruction courses. In this slideshow, I revised the first Core Concept for clarity and cohesion.

Check out my proposed revisions to the Mercer University English major requirements submitted for Public Writing and the Future of the Humanities, influenced by my work as a Writing Fellow.

I also created writing instruction material as a Writing Preceptor!
